Syndi Kahn lives in Cape Town with her husband and two young sons. She graduated in 1996 from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, UCT, worked in graphic design in London and Cape Town and now works as a full-time artist.
Previous exhibitions include solo shows at The Silo Hotel (2019), Circa Gallery Cape Town (part of the Cubicle Series, 2017), Everard Read Gallery Cape Town (2016) and at the South African Jewish Museum (2014). She has participated in various group shows at Everard Read Gallery and Circa Gallery Cape Town, Everard Read Franschhoek and Everard Read London, in group shows at the South African Jewish Museum and the Salon 91 booth at the Cape Town Art Fair in 2015. She has also exhibited in the Broken Monsters Charity show; the Rape Crisis Shining Girls exhibition; in group shows at Salon91 and the AVA Gallery. Syndi is represented in the Spier Collection as well as in private collections in South Africa, UK and Europe.
